RLW Roofing was appointed by Kier Construction to deliver the roofing and cladding package for the new Castle Farm Leisure Centre in Kenilworth. The development provides modern leisure facilities for the local community, including an 80-station gym, six-court sports hall and a dedicated group cycling studio. The centre is also the headquarters for Kenilworth Scouts and Guides.
Roofing Works
RLW delivered a comprehensive roofing package across multiple roof areas, incorporating a range of specialist systems tailored to the building’s design and operational requirements.
A Bauder Thermofol single-ply roofing system was installed across the main flat roof areas, incorporating PIR insulation and D100 metal decking to provide a high-performance, thermally efficient roofing solution.
The project also included the installation of an IKO Permatec hot-melt roofing system to designated plant room areas. This robust waterproofing solution was combined with XPS insulation and finished with natural paving to provide durable access and long-term protection.
To several roof sections, RLW installed a Euroclad Euroseam metal roofing system. The specification included insulation, Euroclad MW5 perforated decking sheets, and acoustic infill panels, delivering excellent acoustic performance while maintaining the durability and aesthetic appeal.
Cladding & Fabrication
The façade package incorporated a variety of high-quality cladding materials; Accoya timber rainscreen cladding was installed to selected elevations, and VM Zinc rainscreen cladding providing a distinctive architectural finish with dimensional stability. This was complemented by bespoke PPC aluminium cappings, rainwater goods, soffits, fascias, and feature elements, all precision-fabricated and installed to the highest standard.
Kingspan Micro-Rib AWP wall cladding was also incorporated into the building envelope, contributing to a cohesive finish alongside the other façade elements.
